Weight Loss Beliefs


Incorporating weight loss beliefs into your daily routine is another great tool to help you lose weight.   We all focus on diet and exercise for weight loss but ignore using the power of our minds.

When we realize that nothing happens until we think about it first, it only makes sense to consciously take control of our thoughts and have them work for us instead of against us.

The majority of us are in the habit of thinking negative thoughts without even realizing it.  How many times have you looked in the mirror and said or thought negative things about yourself?

When you replace these negative thoughts with positive affirmations, good things begin to happen quickly.   Every thought that we have affects not only our emotions, but our physical body as well.

Using weight loss affirmations in the correct way will help you reach all of your goals.   We have incredible minds that are capable of accomplishing anything we want – we just have to put them to work.

Weight loss affirmations have to be worded correctly.   Don’t use the words “I hope” or “I wish” – you must form your affirmation in the present tense – such as “I am slim and healthy.”

Always make sure your weight loss affirmations are positive.  Don’t say “I am not overweight.”   Instead say “I am so happy that I am now at my perfect weight of ___”.

Repeat your affirmations many times during the day.  The more you say them the faster it creates the belief and the quicker things begin to happen.

Below are some weight loss affirmations that you can use.  Some people like to stick with just one affirmation while others use two or three during the day.  The choice is yours.

Pick weight loss affirmations that are believable to you and that you feel comfortable and confident with.  Some people prefer to use “I choose …” or “I love the way …” over “I am …” – because it is more believable.

I choose to be slim, fit and healthy.

I am slim, fit and healthy.

I love the way I feel now that I am slim, fit and healthy.

I am healthy, slim, vibrant and energetic.

I choose to have a slim and attractive body.

I am enjoying my slim and healthy body.

I love the way I look and feel.

Every day I am getting slimmer and healthier.

I am now creating the body of my dreams.

Losing weight is easy.

The fat is melting off of my body quickly and easily.

I enjoy eating healthy foods and living a healthy lifestyle.

I love the changes in my body.

I am slim, healthy and toned.

I like what I see when I look in the mirror.

I choose to feed my body only nutritious foods.

I am so happy that I have reached my ideal weight of ____.

I love the way I feel now that I have reached my perfect weight of _____.

I enjoy shopping for new clothes now that I weigh ____.

I feel and look great now that I have reached my weight of ____.

I am enjoying vibrant health.

These are just a few weight loss affirmations to give you an idea of how to word them – you may want to come up with some of your own.

Say them over and over all day long.  Begin before you get out of bed in the morning and say them again before you go to sleep at night.

Remember to always think about what you want – not what you don’t want.
