The best part about it is that even if you do not have Alzheimer’s disease (yet or not ever, of course) you will still be able to benefit greatly from taking Vitamin B. After all, you do not want to wait for it or any other disease to strike before you take measure.


Fortunately, it is quite easy to make a significant change in your propensity to develop Alzheimer’s disease when you are more serious about your diet. Taking in more vitamin B and being more careful about what you eat does a lot to lower one’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Diet is one of the biggest factors, and you will still get to eat tasty food. First off, fat is the biggest factor – and not in the way you probably think! Stay away from what is known as “modern fats” – the kind which is made using industrial by-products such as vegetable oil, soybean oil, cottonseed oil, canola oil and corn oil. The good kinds of fats that are actually nourishing are: coconut oil, butter, olive oil, palm oil, bacon fat and lard. These are traditional fats – good fats. Likewise, you should purchase full-fat dairy products as well as your brain will definitely thank you for it.

Building Blocks for the Body… and the Brain

Aside from good fats and vitamin B, it is also important for you to get a lot of protein. Protein is known to be the body’s building blocks all throughout your entire life. Your body is continually rebuilding itself by making new cells and to help it along you need large amounts of good protein such as animal protein, which are very good for you, and vitamin B. After meats and dairy products, veggies are next on the list. There are many cases wherein it was observed that elderly people who had eaten a lot of vegetables in their lives actually have lower risks of having Alzheimer’s disease. Veggies are high in Vitamin B and other kinds of antioxidants and minerals. Drizzle a bit of olive oil on a vegetable salad or add a slab of butter on steamed vegetables for taste, all the while ensuring that the good fats and the Vitamin B are all in there.
