Diversifying baby`s food recipe for 6 to 9 months

diversify-baby-foodFood diversification using this recipe can be done beginning with the age of 6 months. Meals will be gradually replaced with solid foods- only one, in the initial stage, and the second until 9 months. Lunch is the first meal replaced with solid foods.



  • assorted vegetables (carrots, parsley, celery root, parsnip, pumpkin)
  •  1 onion
  •  half a pepper
  •  1 tbsp olive oil
  •  1 pinch salt




  • Boil vegetables in the pressure cooker with half a cup of water for half an hour, after boiling temperature is reached.
  • Remove the onion and pepper once the vegetables are boiled.
  • Take the other vegetables out of the soup and mash them. Dilute the puree with the soup broth until its consistency is that of a moderate fluid cream.
  • Take 7 cups and put the purée, as follows:
  • Cover the cups with plastic wrap. The first cup is used in that day; the second cup is put in the refrigerator for the next day. The others will be frozen and will be used in ascending order. Remove one cup per the day of the freezer and gently defrost it. Heat its content by immersing the cup in hot water.
  • Feed the baby with a teaspoon.
  • Cup 1 – 2 teaspoons;
  • Cup 2 – 4 teaspoons;
  • Cup 3 – 6 teaspoons. Gradually increase the quantity with 2 teaspoons until the seventh cup, where there are 14 teaspoons.



  • Double the quantity of vegetables.
  • The boiled puree will be stored in 7 cups, starting with 16 teaspoons; the last one will contain almost a 130 ml.


  • 150 grams of beef or chicken meat is added to the ingredients list.
  • Boil the meat for half of an hour in advance, then add the vegetables.
  • Chop the ingredients using the blender machine.
  • Divide equally the puree in 7 cups.


  • Double the amount of meat.


In the third week, the second meal will be replaced with solid foods – a meal of fruits, between 9 and 11 o’clock.

It starts with 2 tablespoons of mashed fruit- banana, apple, pear or peach, and it increases with 2 teaspoons daily, until it reaches the equivalent of 130-150 ml in two weeks. Once the amount of 130-150 ml is reached, 1-2 biscuit (biscuit)/day can be added.
