Delicious Homemade Ice Pops

Rather than buying a bunch of sugary, frozen popsicles from your grocer’s freezer this summer, why not invest in a few ice cube trays and wholesome ingredients to make your own?


These yummy, delicious ice pop recipes are guaranteed to taste great and are much healthier for you, too!

Strawberry Ice Pops

Simple strawberry ice pops are easy to make and delicious. There are numerous variations on strawberry popsicle recipes, but I’ve adapted one here that I’d like to share with you.

  • 1 popsicle mold or ice cube tray
  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 4 cups orange juice or orange juice blend
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Pour mixture into mold or ice cube tray and allow to freeze. Eat and enjoy!

For an additional flavorful kick, you can add about a cup of vanilla ice cream for a creamier consistency and a nice combination of flavors.

Raspberry Popsicles

This yummy, fruit-filled concoction is sure to cool you off on a hot summer day!

  • 2 cups frozen raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour mixture into molds. If you notice the blend is too thick, add about a tablespoon of water to thin it out a little. Freeze and enjoy.

Lemonade Dream Ice Pops

If you like lemon, you’ll love these yummy lemonade ice pops! For an extra fun twist, why not try using a creative popsicle mold.

  • 1 can frozen lemonade concentrate
  • Water
  • Sugar

Blend together to desired consistency. Add sugar to taste. Pour into popsicle molds, freeze, and eat. They are quite lemony, especially if you don’t add much water, so keep this in mind when making a batch!

Watermelon Popsicles

What kid (or adult for that matter!) doesn’t like the taste of watermelon? When you add that iconic summer flavor to ice pops, you have a delicious and refreshing summer treat that is sure to be a huge hit. Don’t be surprised if you need to make a few batches to keep your family satisfied!

  • 3 cups watermelon flavored juice or juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Combine ingredients and pour into molds. Freeze and you’re done! Don’t forget the popsicle sticks!

Orange Popsicles

These popsicles are so simple to make and taste delicious.

  • 1 can orange juice concentrate, frozen
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp of sugar, optional

Combine ingredients until blended. Add sugar to taste, if desired. Pour into ice pop molds and freeze. Serve and enjoy.

Banana Popsicles

Kids will go crazy over these frozen bananas!

4 small bananas

Take bananas and insert a popsicle stick into each one. You can freeze them for about 30 minutes on their own for a yummy refreshing treat or roll them in a mixture of butter and coconut or chopped nuts for an extra flavorful twist. Chocolate works, too!

Homemade ice pops are easy to make and much more nutritious than the frozen sugar-loaded treats you can get at the grocery store. With a few molds, popsicle sticks, and some creativity, you can have delicious homemade ice pops all summer long!
