About Dr. Melius
Dr. Melius completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 1991. He served as a chief resident, during which he got the Ben M. Peckham award for being an excellent senior resident. After his training, Dr. Melius joined Roley, Anderson & Torhorst practice which later became the University of Wisconsin Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology Generalist Division. He served as a clinical assistant professor and co-director of women’s health. He left in 2001 to form his practice, Physicians for Women, with Dr. Schurr and Dr. Cardwell.
Melius originated from Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. in Zoology. He later joined Creighton University School of Medicine, where he pursued a Doctorate of Medicine.
Dr. Melius serves as a board-certified member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also serves as a member of The American Urogynecologic Society and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
