Alternative tratament for cancer: B17 vitamin

B17 Vitamin  (amygdalin or Laetrile) therapy is one of the most popular and best known alternative cancer treatments. Laetrile targets and kills cancer cells and builds the immune system to keep away the future outbreaks of cancer.

The US Food and Drugs Administration claims that laetrile is toxic. But even if the pharmaceutical industry and the authorities in the domain do not recognize B17 as a valid alternative for cancer, and even if the supplement is not available in pharmacies at the doctor’s recommendation, the vitamin is available over the Internet either as apricot kernels or as pills and, in some cases, in liquid form.

B17

You can take laetrile from the apricot kernels. If you will crack the hard shell of the seed of an apricot, you will find inside a small seed/kernel, looking like an almond. This seed is very rich in natural laetrile.

The daily dose of apricot kernels is between 24 kernels to 40 kernels a day, spread throughout the day. For a person in remission, 16 apricot kernels a day should be used as a minimum.

Other foods which contain laetrile include: peach kernels, grape seeds, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, bean sprouts, lima beans and macadamia nuts.

How does the B 17 work?

When the laetrile compound molecule comes across a cancer cell, it is broken down into 2 molecules of glucose, 1 molecule of hydrogen cyanide and 1 molecule of benzaldehyde. The benzaldehyde molecule is the one which kills the cancerous cell.

It takes a long time for the laetrile to kill the cancer, because the molecules of B17 usually chemically react with the enzyme of a non-cancerous cell (i.e. rhodanese), before they reacts with the enzyme of a cancerous cell (beta-glucosidase). The rhodanese breaks apart the laetrile molecule in such a way that it can no longer kill a cancer cell. So it is recommended to take enough laetrile molecules, over a long enough time, that enough laetrile molecules coincidently hit all of the cancer cells first.

The B17 also stimulates the production of the trypsin and chymotrypsin in the body, and let them work on the cancer cells. What they do is break down the enzymes surrounding the cancer cell so the white blood cells can identify and kill the cancer cell.

One good side-effect of laetrile therapy is that more Vitamin B12 is made in the body. Vitamin C and Vitamin B12 are, by themselves, a treatment for cancer, so they should be supplemented.

For best results, the use of the B17 has to be accompanied with an appropriate diet.
