A healthy and happy person is a person who is physical, emotional, spiritual and energetically balanced. Usually, the sentiment of well being and the complete health is specific for the people who present balanced chakras.
Chakras are centres of life force or vital energy (Prana) present along the central meridian of the body. On the spiritual level, chakras are Entry Gates of the Aura, while on the physical level, they correspond to vital organs in our physical body. The Chakras are considered the energy system existing in the subtle bodies. They can access the universal energy, making the human body stronger and healthier. From the holistic medicine perspective, illnesses occur when chakras have slowed down or shut down completely.
There are seven chakras and each of them has a specific location and color.
First chakra or the “root” chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with the color red. This chakra that is associated with the connection to Earth, security, foundation, and basic rootedness. It determines the function of the large intestine, rectum, and kidneys.
Second chakra or the “emotion” chakra is located at the groin. Its corresponding color is orange and it governs creativity and emotion. The reproductive system, testicles and ovaries, urinary bladder, sexuality, and some functions of the kidneys are associated with the second chakra.
Third chakra or the “self esteem or desire” chakra is located at the solar plexus. Yellow is the color for this chakra and it determines the way the liver, gall bladder, stomach, spleen, and the small intestine work.
Green or rose are the colors of the fourth chakra or the “heart” chakra. This chakra is connected with emotion, self-love, harmony, trust, and growth and the heart and arms are associated with it.
Fifth chakra or the “voice” chakra is located at the throat and is blue in color. It governs communication and truth. The lungs and the throat are associated with the fifth chakra.
Between the eyes is located the sixth chakra or the “third eye” chakra. Its color is indigo blue. This chakra is responsible for intuition, vision, and psychic vision. The brain, face, nose, and eyes are associated with the sixth chakra.
Seventh chakra is at the crown of the head, and is the color of violet. It ensures the connection to our “higher selves” and to the “divine.” The seventh chakra does not have a corresponding organ but is related to the whole being.
The activities in the chakras influence the body shape, glandular processes, chronic physical ailments, thoughts, and behavior.
When your chakras are balanced, you feel balanced, relaxed, whole and healthy. You glow with positive energy and everything seems to go in the good direction. On the contrary, unbalanced chakras are associated with emptiness and diseases. There are hundreds of reasons for chakras’ blockage or un-balances: traumas, cultural conditioning, limited belief system, bad habits, physical and emotional injuries etc. When a chakra is blocked or damaged, the physical and emotional health can be affected.
To reestablish the body-soul-mind balance, the chakras should be re-opened to let the energy run from the top of your heads to your sacral chakra and up again. Chakras can be re-balanced using different techniques such as: Reiki healing, color therapy, yoga, conscious breathing, physical exercises, meditation, guided visualization, positive thinking, positive affirmations, or aromatherapy.
